Difference Between Slug and Pellet Magazines
The primary difference between slug magazines and pellet magazines lies in the hole diameter.
A slug magazine features tighter hole tolerances, specifically designed to hold slugs securely in place. This prevents the slug from shifting during feeding and ensures stable, consistent alignment when entering the rifle probe.
A pellet magazine, on the other hand, has a larger hole diameter to accommodate pellets. Because of this larger diameter, pellets cannot be used in a slug magazine.
While slugs can be used in a pellet magazine, they may shift or sit loosely—similar to a standard magazine—which can affect feeding consistency and accuracy.
Please note:
This magazine is designed for Pellets only.
This product will not fit the early model FX Impact (MK1/2) unless they have been fitted with the adapter plate to accept larger capacity magazines.
You may be unable to fit our magazines to your gun if you use aftermarket, non-standard, or non-factory original parts, such as the Inlet Transfer Port. Before purchasing the magazine, make sure all the parts of your rifle are original. We do not accept returns if the magazine gets dented or scratched for that reason. This is a Pellets high-capacity magazine designed for the FX Impact air rifle.
